London Session Intensive

A focused half-day training session on reading the London open — from overnight context through initial balance to the volatility expansion that defines the morning move.

Who this is for

Active traders who already use candlestick or bar charts and trade during UK morning hours. You should be comfortable marking support and resistance and reading basic volume or tick data. Previous formal technical analysis training is helpful but not required — curiosity about session structure matters more.

What you will learn

The workshop walks through the ninety minutes from 07:00 to 08:30 GMT — the period when London liquidity arrives and volatility character often shifts. Rather than memorising setups, you practise observation:

  • Marking the Asian session high, low, and midpoint before London opens
  • Identifying initial balance — the range formed in the first fifteen to thirty minutes
  • Recognising three recurring volatility patterns at the London open
  • Distinguishing genuine range breaks from liquidity grabs above overnight levels
  • Recording observations in a structured session journal

How the session runs

We begin at 07:45 with coffee and a brief review of the overnight range on EUR/USD and GBP/USD — the pairs we use for live annotation because of their clean session behaviour. From 08:00 you work on projected charts while the instructor marks the developing structure in real time. After the live window, we replay the morning on recording and compare your annotations to the reference notes.

The second half covers pattern recognition using archived examples from the past six weeks, followed by building your personal pre-London checklist. You receive printed handouts and a digital journal template.

Included and excluded

Included: Four hours of instruction, live and replay chart work, session journal template, annotated example pack (PDF), refreshments, and thirty days of email follow-up for clarification questions.

Not included: Trading signals, broker setup, automated indicators, or ongoing mentorship beyond the follow-up window. We teach observation — execution decisions remain yours.

Location and delivery

In-person at our Leominster studio (63ElmGroveLeominsterHR68PW) with a maximum of eight participants. Online attendance via screen-share is available for UK residents who cannot travel — the experience is identical except you annotate on your own screen.

Preparation

Bring a laptop with your charting software installed. We recommend having EUR/USD and GBP/USD daily and 5-minute charts accessible. Read our Asian range field note beforehand — it covers vocabulary we use throughout the workshop.
